Building Maintenance Technician

The maintenance technician is responsible for the upkeep of a facility, building and business office. Duties include inspecting buildings, maintaining inventory, and scheduling repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Execute maintenance plan to achieve Mechanical Efficiency targets in terms of equipment downtime, quality, hygiene and cost, and customer complaints.
  • Maintenance Records are to be executed as per detailed in SOPs. Maintains good record-keeping and retrieval. Report writing and keeping of log book.
  • Responsible of executing routine maintenance and preventive maintenance as per outlined. Identifies causes of breakdowns or faulty operations, diagnoses needed repairs, and tests machinery or equipment to verify that problems were corrected.
  • Performing maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
  • Performing maintenance of electrical systems.
  • Undertake activities of pest control such as spraying insecticide
  • Inspect alarm systems (fire, protection) and schedule repairs when needed
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Takes full ownership of tools supplied to perform day-to-day operation need.
  • Execute any other engineering, maintenance and improvement related activities on all utility equipment as when required by superiors.
  • To provide support when there is shortage of man power resources, emergency or required by company
  • Perform any other duties as assigned and when necessary by Superior / Management.

Requirements

  • Must hold appropriate local recognised wireman or chargeman qualification.
  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar role.
  • A good working knowledge of electrical troubleshooting.
  • Knowledge of general maintenance processes and methods
  • Must be self-motivated, disciplined, forward thinking and proactive and be able to manage time and changing priorities.
  • Physically capable and available to work including weekends, public holidays, and on shift work when necessary.
  • Ability to drive through policies and procedures and represent the Company in a professional manner at all times.

Building Services Manager

The Building Services Manager will have primary responsibility for providing technical support and guidance to supervise, coordinate, and perform the activities of the maintenance department to ensure the whole theatre is maintained in good repair and all systems are in compliance with applicable safety and fire regulations and federal, state, and local building codes to ensure a safe, comfortable environment. Track necessary metrics to identify improvement opportunities, analyze trends and recommend solutions.  Participate with maintenance, operations, engineering, cleaning and others as needed to develop and implement improvements to work processes to ensure theatre operating run with maximum availability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree – Engineering, Facilities Management, Public Administration, or other related field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ management-level experience in facilities maintenance management.
  • Previous experience in hospitalities facility management, theme park or theatre is preferred.
  • Theories, principles, and practices of facilities maintenance management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Plan financial and staffing needs.
  • Excellent problem solving / judgment skills, and high level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks and meet all deadline.
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret general business documents, reports and spread sheets to present information to management.
